Coaching – The Consistency is the Difference
Over the past week I have concluded a series of coaching sessions with 3 different clients. 3 different people working in 3 different organisations in 3 different places. Each of them initially presented differently. They had different goals, different work environments and different pressures.
I’ve used the word ‘different’ 8 times in the above paragraph yet what I think is really important are the things they had in common. At the conclusion of our final session all of them were more confident, were seeing things differently, were making decisions, were positively influencing those around them and all of them had significantly improved their performance.
This is why I love coaching. It recognises everyone is different and there is no set formula that can be applied other than listening, supporting and being there with the client helping them to realise their own potential.
NB I’ve used a picture of my pet rabbits (yes, they are both rabbits!) to portray difference.
